IQ Option’s trading platform is full of features. Therefore, it is not always easy to choose the ones that best suit your trading style. By customizing the interface, you will be able to get the most out of the platform. And who knows, maybe even improve your results. In today’s article, we will take a closer look at ‘Settings’ and how to adjust them to your liking.
Clicking on the ‘Settings’ button will open a six-tab menu. They all have something to do with a different aspect of your trading experience.
This tab is dedicated to the interface and ways of representing information in the operating room. On the ‘Appearance’ tab you can set a time zone (this function can be especially useful for following important international news) and your preferred language.
Here you can also choose one of the four colour schemes. Choose one you like. When it comes to trading, everything is important. You should feel comfortable to get better results. Show/hide the world map as you prefer, which has a purely aesthetic function. Some traders would say that it makes the trading panel more colorful, while others prefer a clean interface with no background images. Using this menu, you can scale the interface, which can be useful when trading on abnormally small or large screens.
Finally, on this tab you will also find a number of boxes that correspond to different ways of representing information about your trades and the stock price.
This tab is made up of many boxes. Some of them are active by default, all of them are very important and will have an impact on your trading results! Here you can adjust the way you trade options and Forex CFDs, crypto currencies, stocks, commodities and ETFs – with one click or additional information. The same applies to how you close positions. And again, the options are the same: you can do it with one click or with a confirmation. The last box in this section will allow you to either open multiple trades on the same tab or on a new one.
This section contains a list of useful shortcuts you might want to use when trading. Remember how designers constantly use shortcuts when working with graphics software? This is just the same. But, instead of Photoshop you have the IQ Option trading application. If you memorize them, this tab will definitely make the process of navigating through the application easier and more intuitive.
On this tab, you can turn on or off two types of notifications: 1) those that reach you when your position is about to close and 2) those that notify you of your new positions during the week.
The privacy tab will help you hide personal information from other traders. Here you can receive an imaginary name to use on the platform (in chats, ratings and so on) and show/hide your trading from other traders.
Now that you know how to customize the interface according to your needs and trading style, you can go to the trading platform and test it.
